Subscription vs Pay As You Go — what's the difference?
Not sure which option is right for you? No stress. Here's everything you need to know to pick the one that actually makes sense for how you use Let's Enhance. Spoiler: neither is wrong, they're just built for different situations. 👇
The Quick Answer 🎯
Subscription | Pay As You Go | |
|---|---|---|
Payment | Monthly or annual, auto-renews | One-time purchase, no recurring charge |
Credits | Refill every month | Never expire |
Best for | Regular, frequent use | Occasional use |
Flexibility | Upgrade, downgrade or cancel anytime | Buy more bundles whenever you need |
Price per credit | Lower 💚 | Higher (but no commitment) |
Credits roll over? | Yes — up to 6x your monthly allowance | N/A — they never expire anyway |
Option 1 — Subscription 🔄
What is it?
A subscription gives you a fixed number of credits every single month, automatically. You pick your plan, pay monthly (or annually at a discount), and fresh credits land in your account on your billing date like clockwork.
You can cancel, upgrade or downgrade at any time — no lock-in contracts, no drama. ✅
Available plans:
For individuals, professionals and freelancers:
- 100 credits/month
- 300 credits/month
- 500 credits/month
For businesses:
- 1,000 credits/month
- 2,500 credits/month
- 5,000 credits/month
And if you need even more scale, we also offer API integration via Claid.ai for fully automated, high-volume processing. You can request access at claid.ai.
How do credits refill work? 🔁
Every month on your billing date, your credit balance gets topped up with your plan's monthly allowance. So if you're on the 100 credits/month plan, you get 100 fresh credits added. On the 300 plan, you get 300. Simple!
What about unused credits? 🤔
This is the good part — unused credits roll over to the next month so you're not losing what you didn't use. They accumulate in your account and stay there ready for whenever you need them.
BUT — there's a cap. Each plan has a maximum storage capacity of 6x your monthly allowance:
Plan | Monthly credits | Max you can store |
|---|---|---|
100/month | 100 | 600 |
300/month | 300 | 1,800 |
500/month | 500 | 3,000 |
1,000/month | 1,000 | 6,000 |
Once you hit the cap, new credits won't stack on top — the cap exists so credits don't accumulate indefinitely. So if you're getting close to your plan's maximum, that's your cue to start processing! 😄
Important note ⚠️ — credits only roll over while your subscription is active. The moment your subscription ends or is cancelled, any remaining credits expire at the end of that billing period. And for Business plans specifically, credits do not roll over — they reset each month.
Who is it for? ✅
Subscription is the move if you:
- Process images regularly — weekly or multiple times a month
- Want the lowest price per credit
- Have ongoing projects, a store, a print business, or a workflow that needs consistent image processing
- Like knowing your credits are always there when you need them
Option 2 — Pay As You Go 💰
What is it?
Pay As You Go (PAYG) is exactly what it sounds like — you buy a bundle of credits once, use them whenever you want, and that's it. No subscription, no auto-renewal, no surprise charges. Just a one-time purchase that sits in your account until you use it up.
Available bundles:
- 20 credits
- 50 credits
- 120 credits
You can buy as many bundles as you want, whenever you want, with no limits.
The best part — they never expire ⏳
PAYG credits have no expiry date. Ever. Buy them today, use them six months from now, nobody cares. They'll still be there. This is why PAYG credits cost slightly more per credit than subscription credits — you're paying a small premium for the flexibility of zero time pressure.
Who is it for? ✅
Pay As You Go is the move if you:
- Only need to process images occasionally — a few times a year, or for a one-off project
- Don't want a recurring charge on your card every month
- Want to test the platform before committing to a subscription
- Have an unpredictable workflow where you might need 50 credits one month and nothing for the next three
Can I Use Both at the Same Time? 🤯
Yes! If you have both a subscription AND Pay As You Go credits in your account, your subscription credits are used first. Your PAYG credits sit safely in the background and only get touched once your subscription credits run out.
This means PAYG bundles are also a great way to top up your account during a particularly busy month without having to upgrade your whole plan. Smart. 💡
Which One Should I Pick? 🎯
Still not sure? Here's the honest breakdown:
Go with Subscription if you process images regularly and want the best value per credit. The monthly refill means you always have credits ready, and the rollover feature means you're never losing what you didn't use in a quiet month.
Go with Pay As You Go if you're doing a one-off project, testing the platform, or your image processing needs are genuinely irregular. The higher price per credit is worth it for the zero-commitment, never-expire flexibility.
Go with both if you have a subscription but hit a heavy month and need a top-up without upgrading your plan permanently.
Common Questions ❓
Can I switch between subscription plans? Yes! You can upgrade or downgrade your subscription at any time from the Pricing page. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing period.
Do PAYG credits expire if I also have a subscription? Nope! PAYG credits never expire regardless of your subscription status. They're completely separate and stick around indefinitely.
What happens to my subscription credits if I cancel? Your credits remain usable until the end of your current billing period. After that, they expire. So make sure to use them up before your period ends!
Is there an annual payment option? Yes — you can choose to pay annually instead of monthly, which comes at a reduced rate. You'll find the toggle between monthly and annual pricing on the Pricing page.
